Even if you aren’t ready to move just yet, but working from home the last couple of months may have convinced you that a better home office solution is needed, here are a few ideas this local marketing specialist has run across.
A home office doesn’t need to be an entire room used exclusively for business. (But if you are concerned about tax deduction possibilities, be sure to consult your tax expert!) Depending on how much privacy you’ll need for calls, online meetings and how much desk or project space to work efficiently and effectively, forget about setting up at the dining room table or sitting awkwardly in the middle of other house activities! Creating your home office space does not have to be complicated or expensive.
Section off part of a room with a half wall. You’ll get the space you need without losing an entire room. And when the time comes to sell, a half wall can easily be removed to return the room to it’s original condition.
Add a simple rolling chair and an area rug and you’ve created a very spacious and comfortable workplace!
The home-office wardrobe is an excellent solution for having everything right at your fingertips including a fold down desk. When the work day ends, just close the doors and have a great evening!
Some have turned a small closet into an office. Many kitchens include a desk area which can work quite nicely as a temporary home office. And if you like sitting at the dining room table? A gorgeous side cabinet in the dining room can double as storage for all your working office needs like printers and files.
